Week 6




I hope the critique was constructive, useful and helped clarify course expectations.

The follow up review will be two Fridays from now on the 9 September.
Those who have to resolve, print or redo work need to do this soon.

This friday will be a catch up day. Please bring your resolved work on the 9 September

Those of you who I did not review please bring in your folio this Friday.

There is an emphasis on resolving the Drawing journal and completing
a storyboard that is not sloppy and slap dash.

There also needs to be follow up for Simon and Janette's classes.

Foto Bienalle

The excursion to the Foto Biennale will now be on Thursday, 25 August. This will allow students to catch up with incomplete work on the Friday.

Meet at 10.45 am at the Ballarat Art Gallery. There are several venues to look at within walking distance of the railway station. There will also be a group of Graphic Design students attending.

Entrance fee is free.
If you are taking a train, Concession rate is $10.80.
The journey from Southern Cross takes approximately one hour.

CERT IV IN INTERACTIVE DIGITAL MEDIA
CRITIQUE
TUESDAY 23 AUGUST
1pm – 5pm
NB: This is a compulsory activity attendance is required. Doctor’s cert required if absent.
Prepare notes on your work. Describe concepts, techniques used, self assessment. Speak slowly and clearly.
All students to participate with feedback.

Week 4 Tuesday 9 August

Congratulations to Mia and Lauren on receiving 2md and 3rd prize in the Student diary competition.

Photography: Hand out on the history of Photography
suggested emphasis on lighting for Cindy Sherman Assignment.
Using KEY LIGHT, FILL LIGHT AND BACK LIGHT.
Next week print images A2 size.

Video: There still needs to be more thought on organising your video. Break it down into small component. The idea of experimenting with footage. You can borrow video camera from library.
You should be filming this week and starting toedit next week.

Painting: Paintings stretched and looking forward to being painted next week. Bring in painting materials, tissue paper.

Friday:
Printmaking:work on digital image for lino.
Drawing :work on shoe journal and new drawing shoes in a landscape (image given to you Tuesday).
