Photography:

• Jan has posted a video related to the Cindy Sherman assignment, that is worth watching


• to print use the appleRGB setting.

Painting:

• Continue to work on Photshop image..think how the interior will translate into a digital painting.

Video:

• On Tuesday, please bring in green sheet (research) and storyboard handout I gave you lasst Tuesday.
  

Printmaking and Drawing

• No class this Friday


• Continue on shoe journal and drawing homework (I will update you Tuesday)


• Once your lino is printed , explore the digital process at home.
  

REMINDER: Assessment includes completing tasks at home. If you do not do this, it WILL impact on your final mark and if you have not demonstrated sufficient participation an N INCOMPLETE will be awarded. Make sure you write things down youneed to do at home, bring in equipment when required (eg Friday drawng materials).

26 July: Get yourselves organised and focused

• Today we looked at Weebly.com.. Good to see Maddy and John started their websites.
  


• Developed interior images for painting.. looks like a good start.
  


• Cindy Sherman:post ideas on blog please and start photography by next week..Bring in your props.
  


• Good news about printing Apple RGB option prints great colour!

DRAWING:

We started on shoes journals..innovative book of 15 shoes.

We also started thinking about the 3 large shoe drawings. Bring drawing materials for next week.

PRINTMAKING:RELIEF PRINTING

Photography:Introduction to Cindy Sherman portrait assignment. discussion of concept. Reference to Jeff Wall. You need to be working on this 6 images in class next week. Bring make-up, props and your ideas written down.

Painting: The great divide - old and new. Jarryd asked if okay to use exterior buildings.. yes. You need THIS WEEK to give time to gathering your documentation. source suitable buildings and get your photos.

40% from art sources on internet. Remember to use large files. We also made the stretchers. 1000 X 800MM.

There is a homework assignment working with surrealism and scale. Look at the photography of Jerry Uelsmann.


Video:
The theme is dreams
Research theory behind dreams: Freud, Jung.
Dream symbolism.
Look at art videos on youtube that use dreams. Thinks about colour, black and white, camera angles, lighting. SOUND...do not just add music track.

Bring ideas and work on storyboard next week.

Friday:

WE will have print making at 8pm (not 8.30)
