"Free for All" Student exhibition opening 2pm Saturday 29 Oct

I passed the Digital Eyes Studio at 4 pm Friday, to see the group had finally got their act together, and presented a nice group of black and white photographs.

Working with groups of people, especially when there is not a lot of professionalism is always hard, so well done to Nicole and John for coordinating the process. Hopefully, the problems you encountered you will take with you in being better prepared for future exhibitions.

Next Friday will be our last class and I will focus on printing any outstanding work and there will be a conclusion talk. I will also we will need your work for the Frankston exhibition. We will conclude at 2pm. Any one who wants to stay on in the afternoon can do so. There will be no more printing after Friday.

Editing video using Canon 7D with Premier Pro CS5

CS5 Premier pro has upgraded to 64 bit and this appears to make a huge difference to editing direct files from Canon 7D without any transcoding.

Digital Eyes Studios

Congratulations to Nicole and Pete for the excellent job done with the HDR/digital work at the Digital Eyes Studios at 56 Walker Street Dandenong. I'm not sure if anyone else from the class was involved? The work looked very impressive in the new frames.

Try to have a look at the exhibition, it will also be good to see the space in preparation for the upcoming exhibtion by the class on the 27 October.

What is Bokeh?

Lenses?

Do you know why some lenses are fast and some slow?
Do you know what the f number or aperture means on the lens?
What lens in used for architecture?
What lens to use for portraits?
